1. About Primary Maths Craft

Primary Maths Craft is a professional primary mathematics blog run independently by Phil Hackett.

The website shares classroom-focused writing, reflections, ideas, templates and free resources for teachers, school leaders and others interested in primary mathematics education.

The website does not currently sell paid products, subscriptions or services. Resources currently made available through the website are provided free for professional and educational use, subject to these terms.

2. Independent views and no affiliation

Primary Maths Craft is an independent professional blog. The views, reflections, resources and opinions shared on this website are my own and are not written on behalf of, or officially connected with, any current or former employer, school, trust, educational establishment, professional body, training provider, government department, curriculum organisation or other third-party organisation.

Any references to schools, teaching practice, curriculum materials, research, organisations or professional experiences are shared for general educational discussion and reflection. They should not be taken as official statements, policies, endorsements or positions of any organisation with which I am, or have been, associated.

Unless clearly stated otherwise, mention of any external organisation, scheme, publication, platform, resource or professional body does not imply partnership, sponsorship, approval, endorsement or formal affiliation.

3. Agreement before downloading or using free resources

Before downloading, copying or using any free Primary Maths Craft resource, you must read and agree to these Website Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy and any relevant resource disclaimer or notice shown on the website.

If you do not agree with these terms, you should not download, copy, adapt or use Primary Maths Craft resources.

Unless otherwise stated, all writing, articles, explanations, page content, resource text, templates, spreadsheets, slides, documents, graphics, branding, layout, design choices, downloadable files and other materials on Primary Maths Craft are owned by Phil Hackett / Primary Maths Craft or are used with permission.

Copyright and other intellectual property rights remain with Phil Hackett / Primary Maths Craft.

Making a resource available for free does not transfer ownership, copyright or intellectual property rights to the user.

8. Educational content and professional judgement

Primary Maths Craft content is provided for general professional reflection, educational discussion, classroom preparation and teacher development.

It is not formal legal, safeguarding, inspection, financial, curriculum, medical, psychological or school improvement advice.

Teachers, schools and other users remain responsible for exercising their own professional judgement before using any idea, strategy, resource, template or recommendation.

Users should check that any material is suitable for their own pupils, school policies, curriculum, safeguarding expectations, assessment systems, data protection requirements and local context.

I aim to make Primary Maths Craft content accurate, useful and professionally grounded. However, errors, omissions, formatting issues, broken links, technical problems or outdated information may occur.

Users are responsible for checking all resources, questions, answers, formulas, examples, calculations, links, instructions, spreadsheet outputs and generated materials before using them with pupils, staff, parents or schools.

Primary Maths Craft does not guarantee that any article, resource, file, template, spreadsheet, slide deck, diagnostic tool, answer, output or recommendation will be error-free, complete, current, uninterrupted, compatible with every system, or suitable for every educational setting.

They do not guarantee any particular pupil progress, assessment result, intervention outcome, inspection judgement, school improvement outcome, professional judgement, financial result, reputation gain or other outcome.

Any decisions made using Primary Maths Craft content or resources are made by the user, teacher, school or organisation using their own professional judgement.

11. School, pupil and assessment data

Some free resources may involve teachers or schools entering pupil names, class lists, assessment scores, marks, comments or other school information into their own copy of a document, spreadsheet, form, slide deck or template.

Any pupil, class, staff, school or assessment data entered into a user’s own copy of a resource remains the responsibility of the user, school or organisation using that resource.

Primary Maths Craft does not have access to school-owned files unless a user deliberately shares them.

Users and schools are responsible for ensuring that they have any required permission, authority or lawful basis to enter, store, process or share data using any digital resource.

Schools and users should follow their own data protection, safeguarding, acceptable use, information security, retention and IT policies.

Primary Maths Craft may link to or use third-party tools and platforms, including but not limited to WordPress, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Drive, email platforms, embedded forms, analytics tools, video platforms, plugins or other external services.

Third-party platforms have their own terms, privacy policies, security arrangements and availability. Primary Maths Craft is not responsible for the content, accuracy, performance, availability, privacy practices, data handling, security, changes, errors or failures of third-party websites, tools or platforms.

Users are responsible for checking whether any third-party platform is suitable for their own school, organisation and data protection requirements.

13. Availability and changes to resources

Primary Maths Craft may update, amend, replace, remove, restrict or withdraw any article, resource, download, template, tool, page, link or feature at any time and without notice.

The website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical issues, plugin problems, hosting issues, security work or circumstances outside my control.
