Why this domain matters
Proportional reasoning is a major step in pupils’ mathematical development. This pack will help teachers identify whether pupils understand relationships between quantities, recognise equivalence, connect fractions, decimals and percentages, and reason flexibly about scaling rather than relying only on isolated procedures.
